Hafiz Shakur (also known as Hafiz Dill) is an independent Bermudian digital creator, writer, and director who has become a prominent voice in local filmmaking. Operating under his production company, Hustle Entertainment, Shakur is dedicated to providing creative opportunities for local talent and putting authentic Bermudian narratives on screen.

Creative Career & Filmography

Shakur began building a dedicated local following with his work in digital storytelling, web series, and indie films:

Hustlerz Paradise (2019): Shakur first gained widespread local recognition by writing and creating this popular Bermudian web series, which debuted in March 2019. Its success led to a continuation of the franchise (HP2).

Sincere Love Hell or Right (2022): A feature film exploring complex relationships and personal themes, continuing his trademark gritty, realistic style.

Blood on the Crown (2025): Shakur's second major feature film is a 90-minute historical drama inspired by the political and social unrest of 1970s Bermuda. Shot in just ten days with an entirely Bermudian cast and crew, the film centers around the 1977 hangings of Erskine "Buck" Burrows and Larry Tacklyn, exploring the Black Beret Cadre movement and the historic riots that followed. It premiered in July 2025 at the Athene Theatre at Bermuda College.

The Hustle Entertainment Ecosystem

Shakur takes a collaborative, community-focused approach to filmmaking. His production banner, Hustle Entertainment, operates as a multidisciplinary hub where various local creative industries intersect:

Fashion integration: Cast members frequently wear apparel from his own local clothing line, Hustle Gear.

Music and Audio: His films boast homegrown soundtracks, heavily featuring music from Hustle Music Group—led by his son, King Shakur, and produced by Rian 8Track.
